Ahh... jakers. He was a nice kid. He and I had very different concepts of deposit vs rental fee on diffs, but he was a good guy.

I'd pay someone who knows what hell they are doing to set those axle tabs to your new shocks and desired bump stop.

So the top half should be good but the bottom needs some love? Got any local recommendations?

On the weekends I’ve got about 400lbs of workout equipment I carry around in the bed for bootcamp classes. That plus the shackle kit should help make it ride pretty smooth… or at least better than my dakars currently ride

You might be fine. I'd throw the new shocks and droop the suspension without connecting shocks to the axles, and then connect it and see where you're at full bump. Ideally you don't want your shocks acting like limit straps and you want to hit full bump before the shocks are fully compressed. Both are bad, and my understanding is that tab placement has a lot to do with that once towers are burned in.

You could take a look at the expanded /collapsed lengths of your Billies versus the foxes to get an idea if you want a heads up or just wait till they arrive.

So it turns out that when your truck is a few thousand pounds heavier than stock your brakes don’t last quite as long as they are supposed to. One of my front inner pads decided to go metal on metal on my drive to work this morning. Add that to the already expensive to-do list I have on this truck

Did you get deavers? I thought you were a dakar boy? You told me to get them and I still question your expertise as a result. The only two bad pieces of advice you gave me were 16 wheels and dakars.

I thought one of my lower control arm cam bolts was seized and i was going to have to slice it out and buy a new control arm. turns out that all it needed was a little PB blaster sprayed on it every other day and now its loose-ish so i should be able to get an alignment. So thats good news

EBC pads are terrible. Look for a true high-quality performance pad, or a "severe duty" pad for towing. I've seen pics of yellow stuff pads crumbled in light track day lapping from multiple sources (should never happen), and heard 1st hand that green stuff pads were not good
