Stephanie is already wanting to plan a trip towards your direction.

She said last night "how far is Phoenix from Todd"

She's got a good friend out there.

It's got its quirks that I'll need to iron out. Looks good from a distance, but the interior is lacking IMO.

Fortunately it's in decent mechanical shape.

As for lockers, only a rear Spartan the previous owner installed.

Everyone asking you to join Mud... notice I never did. Place is a nightmare haha, some great folks for sure, maybe three or 4 of them all said and done  The rest are hypochondriacs with a penchant for overspending on mundane items and services.

I did notice that, and though I've skimmed through the forum a few times for some great info, I don't think it'd be the place for me.

    @stevesnj

    As for my plans?

A minor lift, if any at all.

The vehicle came with extra parts I may not even use including a complete Eibach lift kit (coils and shocks) as well as other goodies.

It will be a daily driver, so first plans are to make the interior comfy.

After that, possibly a rear swingout even when I step down to 33's from the current 35's.

Being solid axle, I expect it to be every bit as capable (more really) than the 3rd Gen 4Runner it just replaced -

Ehhh there always some on every forum. But the wealth of info there is invaluable. I never had a bad experience there. I wouldn't have got as far on mine if i didn't source Mud threads. It's way more sane than here.

Yeh a DD for sure go to 33's, it is definitely more capable than 4 runner which is very capable in itself. The AWD system in the LC is great.

    You sold your 3rd Gen?!?!

I'd recommend joining MUD - lots of 80 series guys over there who are a wealth of information. I've been on there for almost ten years and have never had a bad experience with someone.

I just use it for used part sourcing, really like slow95z, that guy is the bomb, Rick (landtank) is super great too, super nice guy and very knowledgeable and thankfully not anything like the rest of the regulars there. Scottryana is a decent dude too, he just moved a neighborhood over from me. The rest of the place is mostly old dudes bickering about purity and people complaining about parts drying up, and bashing each other over the head for trying their own things rather than doing the same build everyone else has. Is it better or worse than TW I dunno, but out of the two I think I prefer the more laid back TW atmosphere.

The 4R was on 33's, and I found them to be a huge help. With solid axle on the LC, I see no need to deviate from 33's.

Gonna run the 35s to death first or switch immediately? 16s or 17s?

    Yep, 4Runner is gone!

Just posted my last post in that build thread last night. You're welcome to skim through it...has tons of pics and info.

As for the LC, the build will be very simple compared to the 4R.
