So, those of you that caught my rear leather seat replacement -

I had seen reviews of people redoing their seats, with great results. Whether it were the front or rears, the leather wrapped nice and tight around the factory seats. After having done my own, I came to the conclusion that the leather I received was not consistent with those sold to others.

I took the time to allow the leather panels to breath, and go a day and then some, to stretch after opening the packaging.

After getting the leather on the seats, I left the seats out in the sun for another day or two, to allow me to stretch the seats for a "tighter" fit.

It really took about 3-4 days doing everything and as good as it looks, it doesn't look anywhere near as good as the reviews.

Anyway I had done my own review (received an email asking to do one) and posted pics. Seems LSeat wants to make it right and they emailed me saying they're going to send new backrest covers out my way

Ain't that some awesome customer service?

Well, I did a thing in preperation of my new Coastal Offroad bumper.

I've had a ton of wiring that I've wanted to get off for awhile; about 3 owners ago an auxiliary fan was installed. Poorly really.

Anyway, there was wiring that was incomplete, as well as a relay and a few grounds. Well the auxiliary fan never ran or fired up, or maybe it never got hot enough to turn on.

To start, I pulled the fog lights and respective wiring and switches. Shame that they're getting thrown away.

    20220327_160529.jpg

Once disconnected and uninstalled, the front bumper could be removed.

    20220327_161158.jpg

Which in turn, made room to remove this crap.

Now that everything's off, I figured now is a better time than ever to pressure wash all the dirt and grime off.

Hopefully I got room in my shop to pull the LC in; they still haven't picked up all those damn tables and wastebins we welded up.

That's a clean ass fender roll job!!! Would love to be able to pull that off! I've heard you can do it with a big pipe rolling it around the tire but I've never tried.

Today I decided to mostly finish up my bumper.

Just a quick recap as to what's been done already. Bottom plate with gussets welded.

    20220322_180049.jpg

With the shop clear, I thought I'd move the welder as close to outside as I could.

    20220330_163620.jpg

First things first, affix the bottom and side plates, and tack.

    20220330_170811.jpg

Next up was getting the rest of the pieces tacked together. Starting to look good already!

    20220330_171352.jpg

Next up, remove the bumper and tack up the mount for the fairlead.

This one was rather tricky and I had to give @Wulf a call cause I didn't know how much room I had to play with from the drum to the fairlead.

    20220330_175711.jpg

Once that was in place, it was time to run some exterior beads.

    20220330_180208.jpg

    20220330_182457.jpg

    20220330_183225.jpg

Really, I should've done this on my day off. School early in the morning with work in the afternoons is exhausting so, not the best welds.

Killed enough time letting the metal cool between beads, and not wanting to stay all night I decided to call it "enough".

Once I order up some lights, I'll run some more beads on the inside and finish it all up.

    20220330_185055.jpg

    Enjoy!
