Replaced my limit straps with new Slee stainless steel lines

    The old

    Front driver

    Front passenger

    Rear center

Haven't driven it in about 2 weeks so no rush to bleed it. Once I do though it'll be a quick job with the use of this pneumatic bleed/refill system

It works with even the old GM-style rectangular openings.

It just sort of clamps to the reservoir

    20230426_133638.jpg

Chose it based on the many great reviews, not to mention videos I've seen.

Looking forward to it since it's also meant to suck out the old stuff from your system too.

Will be doing a complete flush.

Even though I've got this bad boy up for trade, I'm still taking care of it as needed.

For the past few weeks my driver side window has had an issue with going up, at first it was slow, then altogether not at all.

Common issue with these is, after +20 years the channel run needs to be replaced. Makes sense being rubber and all.

Anyway, door panel has to come off.

    20230508_102531.jpg

Once that's out of the way, only two 10mm bolts hold the window to the regulator.

    20230508_105408.jpg

The old channel run pulled, and the new one ready to go on.

    20230508_104152.jpg

Super easy, just a few things to note. It is imperative you get this corner tucked up as far in as possible; no gaps!

    20230508_105848.jpg

And the other thing is, you want the lip of the run to sit out onto the door frame.

    20230508_105905.jpg

Why did we remove the glass? Cause the channel run goes down the track which runs the height of the door.

    20230508_105912.jpg

Also gave me an opportunity to clean this track.

    20230508_105932.jpg

After all was said and done, my window refused to go up. Further digging told me that even though the window motor powered up fine and ran the window down, it didn't have the torque to push the window up again.

With an old motor and regulator, I didn't want to just replace the motor so I bought a Dorman kit.

Here's the old next to the new; only held in by six 10mm bolts and an easy to do job.

    20230509_175041.jpg

And all good to go now!

Do a 4dr. Don't be like me who spend a shit ton of money on a regular cab (my 1983 22ret swap and bar'd toyota pick up) and realized I can only take 1 of my 2 kids out at the time. Than next I know, the wife and kids want to go too and forced to sell it at a lost. That's how I end up with a 4 door. Haha

V6 swap? I thought the regular cabs only came with the 4-cylinder?

True but my wife doesn't do wheeling, she loves going outdoors and all instead so I'll have another truck for that now. That was the main reason for the LC originally.

The v6 was offered in the regular cab for the first 2-ish years, 1999.5 - 1997. They are hard to find now though compared to the 4cyl

Worst case I find an extended cab I like and I learn to do body work by bobbing the bed.
