I bought my bull bar last year, but then everyone else around here got one and i decided i didn't like mine so much, whenever i have my grille shell color matched i'm going to take my bull bar off and just have it clean on the front end.

That ^ isn't a bull bar? I've got the westin bull bar and yours doesn't look that much different other than the mines got a plate underneth and the tube diameter might be larger. Whatever we call them their main pupose is for a place to mount lights...nothing more.

Wow...didn't mean to get you so defensive. All i was saying was they both have that hoop design and the main purpose of both is to mount lights...period. In a front end collision nether one would do much good. If you bought for that purpose good luck.

i thought about doing the exact same thing, i thought about selling my bull bar and getting an avid light bar, cause I think it's more unique and looks better, but I haven't done it yet cause I couldn't justify selling my bull bar for 150, then buying avid for 260 + shipping + getting it painted or powdercoated.

Not trying to start shiz, but that's indicative of the difference between a bull bar and an Avid. No way you could pull an Avid bar back in place by hand. They're sturdy. I can grab my Avid and shake the truck up and down with it. I could stand on it if I wanted.

Avid looks infinitely better. I had the Aries bar and ended up hating it and removing it. I may end up getting an Avid. But it's your call in which you like better. We can't really tell you if it's a justifiable purchase.

I personally can't stand the look of bull bars; especially when they're on a Tacoma.

i guess u could look at it like that, i was looking at the fact that if he didn't have the bull bar, his bumper cover would need to be redone, possibly grill and/or headlight

I agree. I think owning the truck in general is pointless because I only drive it when I go somewhere thats far enough from my home that I can't justify walking, say more than one mile or so. I also only use the bed like 3-5 times a month. Also, I only use the headlights at night, so having them during the day is really a waste of time because it's not a real practical setting.
