Actually, its light gray. Totally looks white against the dark gray tho. It kinda matches the silver TRD bedside decal.
    Thanks! :D

You want to borrow my heat gun and felt squeege? I have some application spray but looks like it's too late for that :D

Take a sewing needle to it with a very light touch for those pesky little bubbles you just can't get rid of.

    Hey Iven,
Been keeping up with the Oahu thread, as well as Maui, from Upper Kimo Drive.
I know, that's where the rich Haoles used to live. I rent up here, got lucky.
    Grew up out Keokea side.
2nd Tacoma for me. I watch you, Rick and the others in envy.
For some reason, I got married again, 4 years ago. Once in awhile ask if she could get my balls out of her purse, so I can carry them for a little bit.
I do believe I got the ok to get the Magnaflow off road Catback. Still reviewing the conversation to make sure it was a real ok, not just imagined.
Really enjoyed your build thread, and will probably order the hitch plug plate, and some of those rail slot nuts, later.
Your truck looks great, attention to detail.

Thanks bro! I always find its better to just buy now and ask forgiveness when its too late to return it :D
But yeah, my build has really slowed down. Maybe i'll go LT in a few years. I have a few more small surprises coming up tho ;)

So I bought a really, really cheap universal roof basket off Amazon. I knew it was too small, and would have to be modified to fit the non adjustable factory roof rack. But I was okay with that since it was so cheap. Supposed to be held together by some tiny screws
I machined some tubing and bent some 1/4" round bar to fit. Had to be around 10" longer to fit on the factory roof rack. The factory rack bars are just over 43" apart on center.

All welded up :D The red stuff is glazing putty to hide my welds
I seal welded all the joints, and plug welded the screw holes. I put the two ends on blocks, and jumped up and down on the center of the rails. Its very solid, and I don't plan on putting a whole lot of stuff up there anyway.
    Primed and painted
I'll post some pics tomorrow after I let the paint fully dry tonight ;)

I went the roof basket route instead of a modular roof rack like the front runner or PrInSu because I don't really want it up there permanently. I only need the extra space when we go camping. With myself, the wife and daughter and 3 dogs, the DCSB is pretty low on space for everything needed to keep all of them comfortable...
