    So we made and welded in some frame plates to back the link brackets that get welded to the frame. A lot of the frame sections consist of 2-3 layers of thin sheet metal, so @EddyRRT suggested that I plate the frame first. So thanks again for the heads up Eddy :)

    It's 3/16"steel. You can see the slight bend in the frame, and so the plate had to be bent to conform to it.

    looks good, and less chance of cracking the frame. I just wish I had the foresight to plate this so I could have made just one long plate for the crossmember brackets and the link brackets...

    Welding time! All on my own today...
    Gonna finish up the top link axle bracket.

    I did a double bevel on both sides for full penetration, but didnt get pics...

    Ground these flat after.

    Had some 1.375" diameter 6061 aluminum laying around, so I made a spacer to hold the two sides together and parallel. Largest drill I had was 5/8", so I had to use a boring bar to get the ID to 3/4".

    Didn't get a pic of it all fit up before welding. Got in the groove and forgot to take pics.

    Here it is in place. Hard to tell, but now it can come up another 2", and when the drivers side tire drops, the bracket will have room to swing to the side.
