I wish I could see the facial expressions when you pull up next to these guys in your truck. SAS on 37's vs drop bracket/spacers/blocks/body lift on 22x12's and 33's. I bet they going be a little jelly. cause I know I would be

Fair enough. I'm cheap and live in the high desert so I think I'm going to roll with them.

More than likely they'll think it's stupid since their approach to what makes a 'good' truck is completely fucked compared to most of us.

When I still worked at Pearl Harbor, I'd get harassed for NOT running that kind of style too

Because your truck isn't "lifted" as high as their's? You better start stacking lifts on lifts then. :militarypress:

There are some great videos on putting these together, so I'm not gonna go into too much detail on the hutchinsons.
    IMG_1698.jpg
I made this stand so when I step on the wheel, my weight is pushing the wheel against the ground and not just compressing the tire. With the tires spaced off the ground, my weight will just be putting direct pressure on the two sides of the wheel forcing it into the tire and getting the bead closer to being seated.
    IMG_1699.jpg
    IMG_1702.jpg
    IMG_1703.jpg
    IMG_1704.jpg
First thing to do is get the doughnut into the tire.
    IMG_1706.jpg
Then shove the inner part of the wheel in, trying to get it in there as far as possible. Blue tape is to line up the groove in the doughnut with the studs so I get the valve stem in the right place.
    IMG_1707.jpg
Lubing up the O-ring with Vaseline. @1uzrnr said to start with one finger first, then try two
    IMG_1710.jpg
Back of the wheel is on my stand. Gotta stomp on the face to get the 3 starter studs to protrude enough to get some of those weird locknuts on. If you gonna run dynabeads, get them in before putting on the outer wheel. Hutchinson does not reccomend it tho...
    IMG_1711.jpg
Once you close up the gap a little, check to make sure the O-ring is still seated in place.

Here is the locknut. Weird 2 piece thing. I've been a machinist for awhile and have never seen this before.
    IMG_1743.PNG.jpg
Threads go all the way down tho.
    IMG_1742.jpg
Put them all on and torque to 100ft lbs in a star pattern. Wife tried, but couldn't get the torque wrench to click 100lbs :D
    IMG_1718.jpg
Then put these plastic caps over the nuts and studs to make your real beadlocks look like fake beadlocks
    IMG_1719.jpg
In case you were wondering, 37s are bigger than 285s ;)
    IMG_1722.jpg
    Not much wider tho thankfully!
    IMG_1725.jpg
Daughter was making rain noise with the dynabeads :)
    IMG_1730.jpg
Looks right at home on there :D
    IMG_1735.jpg
Would it be okay to run 37s up front on 4.88 gears and 285s in the back with stock gears?

So people keep asking what these things weigh. I weighed all the individual parts.
The face plate. Unsurprisingly since it has the spokes and hub, it weighs the most at 22lbs and 3oz.

    The inner wheel, 17lbs 3oz.

    Rubber doughnut, 13lbs 8oz.
    Hardware, 1lb 5oz.
    Total, 54lbs and 3oz

Plus 10oz or so of dynabeads.
and then wrap it with a 75lb tire!
    :benchpress:

Thanks Chad. When you coming over?

That's cause you take so long to get a wheel on! it only took me a few seconds to get that monster on.
