Okay so recon inspector didn't like my brake lines zip tied to the axle. He told me the brake lines can't be touching anything, which makes sense, since any friction can eventually wear through the lines. But these braided lines are just temporary until I can get some custom hard lines like how @THROTTLE231 has his lines running on his killer setup.

So I chopped up a bunch of small steel angle, set up a quick and dirty drilling and tapping jig, and made a bunch of tabs, and bought some brake line clamps.
    IMG_3291.jpg
Then I welded them to the axle making sure that it doesn't contact anything, and that I have enough slack at the ends for full lock to lock turning angle. Axle is also at full droop to make sure it has enough slack on the top link.

    IMG_3302.jpg
To run the lines up the top link, I designed a simple clamp in cad, then machined it out of 6061 aluminum on my tormach.

    IMG_3274.jpg
The zip ties were just for fit up. They have hose clamps on them now.

Everything looks good enough... and recon can't bitch about it. Too bad it's all getting cut off eventually
Hopefully I can get recon and safety check sticker next week :)

I think I'm more amazed/jealous by the fact that you can just fab up custom parts like that.

    FML...
It's happening again. Got out the GoPro and stuck to the bumper. I didn't touch the steering since having it aligned, and I was driving it on the freeway doing near 70mph, and it was fine. All I did was take off the wheels to work on the brake lines... so sickening...
I'll call 4wp in the morning and see if they can balance them for me.

What do you mean? They are connected to each other with the tie rod... if one starts shaking they will both shake, but I can only shoot one side at a time.

Yes and yes. Goodyear didn't even want to try and balance the tires cause they said they are all out of round.

Why didn't you demand new tires under warranty then..? Or did they just tell you that?

I didn't buy them from Goodyear. The place I got them from is working to get me a new set.

That's cool, never seen a note like those on inspection.

I actually really like what you did with the fender flares.

I need to consider something like that becuase my fronts are poking way out lol.

White truck doesn't look so nice with road grime sprayed all over it.
