Yeah, this is just required on Oahu. This is separate from the safety inspection. Have to list all the major mods. And modifications to the vehicle supposed to get a reconstruction permit.
I actually ended up adding short front mudflaps too.

Thanks! I'm driving it around, but it won't be ready to wheel for awhile. Still have death wobble, still no bump stops, and still no hydro assist.

Okay, seems like it the was steering box adjustment screw. I drove the adjustment screw down just until it became snug, then backed off a super small amount and retightened the lock nut. Drove to town on the freeway. Gone. Got it to around 55-60 mph.
I can feel it still trying to shimmy, and I think that's just because of tires being out of balance, especially around the bends. As the tires start syncing up with each other, can feel it and get worse, then gets better. Will try and see if 4wp or Maui off road will balance them properly.

Have you considered balance beads for your tires?

Here. I made a video using a dial indicator to measure runout. Most of the tires I get around 0.080" TIR.
    https://youtu.be/Tf7z0rxFGns
You can see some are pretty stable until it hits a high/low spot. One tire has two low spots. I have also dismounted the tires and checked the wheel runout and they are true.
When mounting the tires, I very slowly and evenly draw the two halves together to keep them straight, and used RuGlyde lube to seat them. If you look close at the FR tire, it also has some lateral runout. even after dismounting the tire, and re mounting it, it still wobbles the exact same way, so I know it's sitting on the bead properly. I don't think it's possible for tires not to be centered on the wheel the way these tires go together.

While I have the entire truck on jackstands, I decide to pull the wheels and take some measurements. Wheelbase is 131-1/8" on both sides, and lower links bolt center to center are 33-1/4" on both sides. I'm pretty surprised how even it is
@1uzrnr did a good job with the fit up.

Balancing won't do crap if the tires are out of round. If you watch the vid above, can see the FR tire has lateral runout too. So the tire will try and wiggle anyway.

My MTR's sucked ass in the beginning and then slowly got better and better. Too bad you live on an island, otherwise I'd suggest putting some miles on it haha

Borrowed a set of balanced 35" toyos on FJ steelies from @Vigo. He's been stashing these for when he decides to chop up his fenders
Truck rides great now! No death wobble at all and no weird vibes or wheel hop when going fast... should have stuck with 35s
    IMG_3420.jpg
I think my truck is the only Tacoma that will make 35s look small
Well... any SASed tacoma will really.
