I would be hesitant to call this a build thread but I guess I can post as I make changes. This is really the first vehicle I've made any real changes to, and I'm pretty proud of it so far.

This is what the burrito looked like the day I brought it home in 2015 with 116k miles.

    Nice truck...
In 1 photo, it appears the wheels are the OEM steelies, correct?

Cool, I ran them for years until I installed a set of SCS F5's in gun metal grey.

Quick little addition about my grill. I get a lot of questions about it via social media. Good way to change the look of the truck without straying too far from an OEM feel.

Bought a cheap bare black plastic grill off eBay. I think it was $45 shipped. Cut out the center section and painted it to color match my truck. I’m not a fan of chrome, think it looks gaudy.

Lots of prime, sand, coat, sand, coat, sand, coat, sand.

Roommate works for Lexus, and he offered to call in a favor from the body shop guys to throw a professional clear coat on for me.

I used the customcargrills.com kit for the mesh, and emblem, since their package was cheaper than buying the emblem off eBay.

Had to work around my ARB for the install, which was kind of a pain in the ass but not too difficult.

While I was replacing the grill, I replaced my old headlights with some $60 ebay specials as well. So far, they’re great. No issues, and they update the look a lot.

I pulled off my old HID driving lights, as the ballasts were burnt anyway. I’ll get some Baja Designs lights to replace those at some point.

Also color matched the corner lights. Color match wasn’t available from the factory on the “mystic gold metallic” trucks, so I think it’s fairly unique, while still keeping an OEM vibe.

Truck came with some black powder coated SR5 wheels, either from a 4runner, pickup, land cruiser or T100. They looked good, but kind of dated the truck, in my view. Since I already replaced the front emblem with a land cruiser emblem, I kind of wanted to continue that theme on the rest of the truck. Thanks to another member here, and grabbing some wheels from a local wheel recycler, I built a set of steel OEM wheels. 15x7”, 16 hole. Most were in good shape, some had a little surface rust. I cleaned them up, primed them, and spray painted them charcoal grey.

Tire shop guys were very confused. They didn’t understand why I would want boring steel wheels, but I dig the look.

Sold the SR5 wheels to a friend who is restoring a first gen 4runner. They went to a good home.

No idea on output, seems the same as stock. Right now I’m just using the garbage bulbs that came in them. Haha. I’ll swap them to Philips X-treme Vision once I get around to it.
