Went up to Nor Cal last thurs-sunday (June Lake) to get away from all the craziness

rented an off the grid camper since the wife is 6 months pregnant and I didn’t want her to sleep on the floor or on cot in a tent.
1st time towing with the Tacoma at 226k miles
Towed great surprisingly climbing from sea level to 7000 ft.
Also 1st time real world use on 4wd since conversion twice







need tires asap tho, these bfgs are donezo

I've been looking replacing my tail lights and 3rd brake light. Where did you find yours?

Those look sharp all blacked out. I think I saw some like those. Do you have a link to where you got them from?

i did forget, i got new tires like a month ago
falken at3 wildpeaks still sticking to 315s

 

I guess an update is in order

July: got a new front bumper from sick nick with front hitch so I can add a winch (when I finally add one) and remove it when I don’t need it


That same week I get the truck back I noticed that my coolant temp starts to jump and find that coolant had been coming out of the overflow tank


So I do what anyone else would, start changing cooling components
Water pump
Radiator
Coolant flush

Bubbling stopped then came back a week later
Didn’t take the truck back up to June lake ended up taking the 4runner
Basically at that point I was already suspecting the head gasket was done
So the truck had basically sat since august with little to No driving
and yesterday finally got it towed to toyota to get it inspected and fixed


Got the call late last night that it is the head gasket
Should be back in a week hopefully

 

Ouch. I was hoping it was just the radiator cap.
