Don't waste your time, money, or the possibility of starving the ring gear of oil on that diff drop.

Get your cv angles good. Don't try to crank them like crazy and you'll be fine. I have about 17000 miles on mine and no problems.

@ckeene9 knows his shit. Been Rollin' smooth since he installed my suspension. Glad I didn't drop the diff. No vibrations, which is awesome.
Just gotta get this scrubbing issue resolved somehow w the 33s. Think it's finding the right setting on my LR UCA's but I ain't tooooo sure. Been :sawzall:the hell out of my fenders and lining.

Just saw this thread -- anyone go to Mechanicsville Toyota to get the frames checked for rust per Toyota's instructions.

Is the drop kit bad/useless for first and second gens. I've had mine on for a while and just want to make sure I'm not going to regret it eventually.

1st gens are fine with them. It's the 2nd gens where it doesn't make sense.

Anyone know of a shop in the Glen Allen/West End area that will mount and balance tires bought elsewhere? And preferably one that could also do an alignment after my lift is done (knows about LR UCAs). Thanks!

One or two things modded... Check out the build
May need to head a bit further out to an independent shop. Most of the ones around SP won't. Also DO NOT go to the merchants tire in SP for an alignment. They will charge you for one, put it on the rack like you are getting one, but never put tools on the truck to actually align it.

Subbing to this thread / intro. My name is Chris, and I am going to be at Fort Lee from mid-February until mid-summer. Decent group of Tacomas in the area? Any road cyclists here that are familiar with the riding?

I am from Arizona & Missouri and have absolutely no idea what VA is like, haha.

    Here's my truck.

Anyone around Cville? I'm looking into the BHLM and would rather do it with the assistance/guidance of someone who's done it.
