If you are not familiar with the Cinders in Flagstaff, its a large OHV area on volcanic cinders. The main area is open, there is what they call responsible cross country travel allowed and open camping. Its very similar to a Glamis type area except instead of sand, its volcanic cinders in a ponderosa pine forest. Outside of the OHV area there are several FRs that provide great drives and scenery as well.

I'm a little behind in posting this as we went back on Memorial day weekend. I hadn't been in a while and this was my first time taking my current Tacoma. We also had some friends come a long with their Tacoma and they enjoyed it as well.

Very cool. It's on the list to go check out. We'll be up there next weekend to scout out the End of the World and maybe run some other trails like Mt Elden and NF-522 from Snowbowl to Schultz pass.
