I hated the position of the factory clock, as a lot of you do. So I replaced the stock radio with an aftermarket one that has the clock built in. I pulled the clock-delete panel out of my parts truck and mounted a power mirror switch where the clock used to be. Killed two birds with one stone... got rid of the stupid clock and now my power mirrors work!

This looks nice. What all was needed to add power mirrors?

Any other write ups for ideas of what to put in the clock opening from others? I thought about shipping my clock out to have it serviced so it works again. But I really would like to just put something more useful there instead. I had looked on the interwebs and to my surprise, to buy a new OEM clock is something like 350$ bucks!!! Hahaha....are you kidding me! Crazy money, just for a cheap little digital clock. I like the power mirrors idea but just curious what other mods people have also done with that space as well?

2001-2004 power mirrors are a direct replacement. The switch is out of a 97 Camry. Clock delete panel is out of a 95 Taco. I got the info from the following thread.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-replace-95-97-side-mirror-with-a-01-04-mirror.172052/
I used this wiring diagram for the switch color codes.
    http://www.justanswer.com/toyota/50...ted-wire-harness-wire-flatwhite-w-splice.html
The wires on the mirrors are red-common, black-up/down, brown-left/right.
