    stock is already a CAI which gives the same performace. so upgrading to the other CAI brands, ur basically just buying it for sound and show. unless u get the URD CAI with scoop

    THE K&N SYSTEM I BOUGHT HAS AN OPTIONAL DRY SLEEVE ATTACHMENT WITH THE ORDER, IN THE EVENT IF I WANT TO DO SOME WATER CROSSING, IM ASSUMING THIS WOULDNT ALLOW ANY WATER IN, OR AT LEAST RESIST IT

    THE SLEEVE JUST SHEDS WATER IF YOU DRIVE THROUGH A LITTLE RAIN. IF WATER GETS INTO WHERE THE INTAKE CONE IS, LIKE IN A WATER CROSSING, NOTHING WILL PROTECT YOUR ENGINE EXCEPT FOR A SNORKEL

    I just got an ultra gauge...according to it the intake air temp with the stock setup is roughly 2 degrees higher than the ambient temp. I can't imagine getting much colder air than that.

    Meh, I don't care what anyone says. I like my TRD intake, it a little more responsive and it sounds great under full throttle. Got a deal on it and it keeps my warranty in check with Toyota. If your looking for HP don't waste time and just save up for a supercharger.

    It's all about what YOU like man. Put it on, you don't like it take it off and sell it, someone will buy it fast. I would suggest if your going to be doing a lot or off-road stuff in deeper water, keep the stock on on. I would think from its design vs. the TRD it's a lot better at keeping water out of the motor. I'm not 100% sure if it is better or not but from the looks of it, I'd put my money on stock for keeping water out.
