The connected device can not be recognized issue

    Has anyone else had this problem? A few weeks ago I hopped in my truck and the CarPlay was no longer working. It had worked earlier in the day but stopped. I tried resetting my phone/ holding down the knob to reset the radio and no luck. My phone doesn’t work and neither does my wife’s but we have no problem in her 2020 Corolla. I tried switching out the phone cord for an official Apple one as well. The stereo is up to date and so is my phone. I just keep getting the same message at the top of the screen, “the connected device can not be recognized” anyone know how to fix it?

    you've rebooted your phone, and also tried deleting and re-pairing the head unit and the phone?

    I’ve tried all of that. The one thing I haven’t been able to do is a hard reset on the head unit. I did the whole menu thing where you hit the headlights 3 times while holding the app button down. But, the options to fully reset everything are in red blocks and can’t be clicked on.
