The cost of 30 k mainteance

So here is what really cost (parts) for a 2019 TRD Sport 30k

Fluids, Filters.

- Engine oil $48.99 (7 qrt - only use 6.2)
- Oil Filter $7.65
- Air Filter $ 22.77
- Dif oil $154.68 (Front and Rear, 6 qrt, some left)
- Transfer case oil $ 106.72 (2qrt, some left)
- Washers - $8.99
- AC Filter - $12.00

Grand total of $361.80. I choose to use Toyota genuine stuff for all but the engine oil. This this is not cheap! Sure, I really enjoy my time under the truck and that is priceless.

By the way, other than the overtorqued plugs, easy job. Now, Toyota should make life easier by have some standard for these plugs...gee 3 tools sizes for the same job...

Too bad I was not able to find any lub nipple... would love to see some old grease moving out... anyway, 2019's are lub for life..

I just wonder how much that would cost at the dealer...

And the cost of your lubricant's indicate a preference for fancy boutique stuff and overpriced Toyota labeled stuff. Many products will meet/exceed standards for a much lower cost.

 

$301 in Cali. I said no to the air filter which they wanted to charge me $60 for.
