my tundra was $3000 for the paint. actual body work from the rollover everything came out to like $4000. but just the paint and prep for it was 3k.

I really like that Tundra. What is the exact color you used? I'm trying to pick a color for my Tacoma and that looks about what I'd want for a light gray color.

Notice @Empty_Lord never shows a close-up of his paint. It's because the part of Indiana he lives in, all the vehicles look like this:

I'll be painting my own truck soon. Just the paint, primer, clear and that stuff came to 1700$. If you're getting a full respray for any less than 5k its going to be trash.

I’d rekon mine came out pretty damn good. It can still be done for 3-4K and get a good outcome. It just depends on how much the body shop is willing to budge when you pay cash.
If I had paid with credit or the likes I bet it would of been close to 5k

100% corners are cut at 3k. It might look good but that doesn't mean its quality.

It’s been 2 years. Guess we’ll see how long it lasts then.

my 01 Tacoma the quotes about 10,000. But that’s new driver side floor pan and a bunch of other small repairs. And painting the engine bay and under side

I paid more than that to get my sport hood sprayed and I didn't even bother having it color blended just gave them the bare hood out the box and the Toyota color code.

Either that's some backyard start up who has no idea what they're doing or a total scam, either way stay the hell away.

Just curious….for a do it yourself, single stage acrylic enamel paint job (on my single cab, type 1, flare side, no door jams, no under hood, no inside bed ) how many quarts should it take? Thanks.
