    yes it does make less sense but there are times when you need cash and it beats the hell out of 15% interest rate when you put it on a credit card that you cant cover that month. Ide rather have it in the bank for a rainy day fund than rely on my credit card.

    well, i dont understand the seminars, book, and crap he sells. You shouldnt need all that crap to know "dont spend more than you make"

    maybe he does it because sensationalism sells?

    Canceling credit cards and using only cash is only good for people with no self control. If you have to avoid a credit card or else you max it out then sure, you have problems but at least you're smart enough to not enable yourself. I have barely used a debit card or cash for years, everything I do is on either an Amex, Citi or Chase high end card that gets paid off every month. Rather than just spending cash and getting nothing I get several free vacations a year and a whole host of other benefits to go with it. I have a chunk of cash in the bank just in case but I also have close to $100k in available credit limit should something crazy happen.

    OR is a good truck. Best of luck with it. When I bought mine, I wanted Cement, but loved the MGM when I saw it and the MGM was on the lot, so that's what I got! No regrets.
