Agreed. Was a tedious process but I like it much better.
I originally thought I was going to do in-cab controls. I decided not to because, for me, I'm usually hopping out to run the line so I doesn't bother me to stop for a few seconds to plug in the winch control. Plus, the only place logical to put the in-cab switches was to the left of the single cup holder. I didn't care for that because I always have something laying there.

    Thanks.
Bob is correct. It is 3/8's Amsteel from South East Overland. Orange in color.

All-in-all, it's exactly the stealth look I was looking for and the solenoid box is even better protected. I'm wanting to get an LED light bar next to replace those pitiful PIAA 520's.

Hey Jeff, I'm needing a stubby antennae because my new truck's antenna won't fit in the garage. Do you guys keep stubby antenna's in stock?

Sorry Taylor, we don't. My damn antenna whacks the garage every time! If I drive in on Lindsey's side it clanks every section of the door as I'm pulling in.

I mounted my solenoid in the same place as you, except to my advantage Engo's solenoid box has the plug located on the end, so my plug faces straight up, and the hood is just high enough over it that when the remote is plugged in it isnt pinched.

Man, that would have been a ton easier than wiring in another remote socket.

I thought about extending the socket and mounting it inside the cab but figured id try the 'keep it simple' method for once :D

I feel like ultimately, I really didn't care to run more wires through the firewall.

Where is the fun in that? :D

I only spent 2 weekends fingering out the wiring for switches and in cab winch controls for my XRC8. :(
