I still have quite a way to go between the truck and camper but that's what makes it fun for me. I think I enjoy the tinkering the most.

I haven't dome anuthing to the interior yet othr than seat covers and floor liners. I have a CB and Ultragauge waiting to go in but I'm not going out in this cold to do that. I've got bumper and frame reinforcements to weld in, and a bunch of stuff for the camper this is fun stuff

I think my next thing is OBA. I have the compressor... I just need thick wiring and the time/studying on how to direct wire it to the battery with an on/off switch in the cab

That and make/install a Blue Sea dude Box I’ve had lying around for years

Yep OBA is deffinately in th plans as some day would love to get lockers and for now just have a small portable 12v compressor. As I add more electrical the additional fuse/ relay panel will also have to happen as I can't stand having extra wiring unorganized. I made a little bracket to hold relays until I get to that point and mounted on the driver's fender. I also use it to mount the switch for underhood lighting.

I cleaned up my wiring a while back... and by that I mean just stuck it in loom and labeled it going to the battery.

I think mine are just zip tied to various holes in that fender wall :anonymous:

I like that under hood lighting/switch if/when the day comes you need to get under your hood at night and don’t have good lighting handy

Moved the Hi Lift from the back to the "outlet side" -- Before & After

    Before Large:

    After Large:

The only issue with this set up is I can't have it on the side because the mount is too close to the bed side so the base of the Hi-Lift hits the raised edge of the cubby/outlet area and won't seat fully on the Hi Lift mount.

So I see it as I either:
A.) Bend the metal near the T Nut and screw mounts like in the picture below

    or
B.) Remove the pin and base to the Hi-Lift and then re-attach when I need to use it and keep it in the cubby or something.

While I had it all taken apart and had to go to work anyway, I figured I'd throw a coat of satin black paint on the Hi Lift mount and (4) screws and let it sit overnight

I'll edit with the after pic.... or change it to a before/after picture later

Love your build and thankyou for sharing with others! I am currently looking at the same sliders (BAMF) and also have a short box. I was wondering why you choose sliders without the kick out option? I am super torn as to Which way to go and don’t want to regret one over the other. Really appreciate your opinion and thanks again for this thread, def the look and usability I am looking to imulate. Cheers

Thanks Ryan! I chose "no kick out" option because I wanted a cleaner look compared to my old 1st Gen build.
I was/am going for something that has the durability and ability to do some of the things I enjoy (getting up in the mountains, exploring FS roads, occasionally going to a TW meets, hitting some tougher/sketchier trails and dealing with whatever comes throughout the seasons), but also something that looks somewhat more professional and the mods that are done, are subtle but definitely there

It's literally the definition of "ballin' on a budget" haha I couldn't resist. The old neighbors were moving out when I was down on Camp Pendleton and they were tearing the carpets out, I asked and got a roll for free so I just measured and cut it to shape... I swear a rubber mat is on my list of things to do/to buy

I saw a picture on IG the other day and I was like... damn they must've had a nice camera and some skills

cause if I were to try to do that picture with my iPhone my dog would just give me a look like this

    "GTFO here with that camera"

Nah but these are the closest things I have to a "ballin' ass photo" like that one I got from IG. Surprised I got these, he hates looking into the camera for whatever reason

Enough of him hahaha I'll get back to the build :anonymous:
