I love this shot. I don't recall it being that flexy but is sure looks like it.

 

Oh it's more flexy than that! Certain i have more photos of the red heads legs realllly streched out.

Thanks! Was a good batch. Long day that one..I can't wait to have a full frame camera to shoot in real low light well. Trying to get Devin into photos more so she can take over the 60D.

I spy the arch on the way out to Dome! Did you guys stop and check that out?

 

This is actually the Kokopleli. though it is the section that you can tie into Dome Plateau! However...we had no idea about at the time. Later though when we regroup and try and figure out wtf we are going to do. We actually end up going back there Was worth the camp site.

 

After that epic campsite on Dome and after being run outa there by that epic rain storm, we did stop at an arch nearby. I can't recall its name right now. Here is a photo of Dans that shows it. Monte and I haven't gotten that far in our photos yet.

Yes this one is the one I was talking about. It was the last thing I saw before I got to the campsite/look out. Is that not one of the best camp sites ever? You guys went right before RT right? I must have used your fire ring.

Is an epic place. So stoked to get to my photos of that part.

We went in the other way on the loops. So came back up from dewey bridge and then took the first turn south on the loop. Was long and kinda hard to follow. Was cool though. Then we got to the site and the next day went out to the arch and out where the kokopeli is on the highway before going back to dewey and taking Dolores all the way to CO.

 

One of the best ever. Amazing views, Amazing photography, Amazing company. Can't beat that combination.

 

Awesome. I went in the more direct route, basically following the Kokopelli and did a straight run to that arch and then the camp site because I was running low on daylight. I do remember there is quite a maze of trails that go south and the guide book says it's pretty easy to get lost in them. The point I went through and hit that section I was solo and RT was over, but even solo it was one of the most peaceful and amazing camp sites I've ever visited.

I took a way out based on @NYCO 's recommendation that took me to the Winter Camp overlook behind arches, and drove out through Yellow Cat flat and Yellow Cat mesa. I really am stoked to see your photos of the site!

 

oh nice! Yeah we didn't go into Arches. But my dad and mom are going down there a week before my brother graduates college and I think im going to run into Arches via the trails there and come out at Dome like you did.

Pretty awesome place out there.

 

Totally missed that last batch when you posted it Monte - they are great! @Blackdawg +1 on Mikes kudos to the action shots!

Haven't even done my version yet. Be fun to read two full write ups. I have a feeling yours will have even more details then mine!

 

Looking at the file sizes, I would say yup!
