    We are definitely hard on our camera equipment. The two main lenses I use have also gone 'soft'. It is frustrating.

    I just dropped mine one to many time haha it won't focus unless you force it too in spots and then parts of the image are out of focus that shouldn't be. Like big spots or something.

    Just need a new one. I really like the 18-135 when it was working right. Images were sharp and its very versatile to use on the trips. Also thankfully..pretty affordable. haha

    Sigma makes pretty decent glass. I haven't looked at that one to see how it fairs. Usually zoom lens that long don't do so hot in certain areas. From what i've read the 18-135 canon is one of the best zooms made for the price.

    Utah. We started by going to Gemini Bridges then we went to Dome Plateau which is the final campsite we were at. It over looks Castle Valley, Onion Creek, and Fisher towers with the La Sal mountains in the back ground.

    i know the 18-135 is, but overall from test reviews i've read its still one of the best zoom lens out there and walk around lens. 90% of my photos over the years are with it and id say are just fine haha
