Strong recovery on a truck that most people would have walked away from. I thought the Maggie would have put down a bit more juice, not familiar to TurD gens though.

im trying to get this thing in good working order before KOH. Should have a video later this week. I only have a few major things left it needs a good buff, e brake doesn’t work , needs an alignment, and to wire up the arb air lockers and compressor

I would like to build myself some sliders. We’ll see if I have enough time before KOH.

When you get back, check out the 2Lo mod. Allows you to go into Low range and stay in 2wd. Reverse is geared way to high in these damn things. Also nice in 1st. Their is a guy that sells a turn key box for the 2nd gens, but believe turd gens (lol) are still DYI.

Anyway, 2lo mod is available for THIRD gens, as plug n play harness with relay and load resistor:

I'm just wondering how much is the difference of buying a used "workable truck" compared to buying a salvaged truck. I've enjoyed watching these episodes on YT, definitely entertaining. Classy Tacos is also a Youtuber who has great mods to watch.

Oh yea it could have definitely been done, but where is the fun in that? ;)

I mean, resale will never be what it should be because of the salvage title, but if the truck ends up costing less even with all the mods, definitely worth it. These guys just enjoy doing the work, and that's what I really like about the project.

But lol and "In you face" to all the haters that commented early on in the thread. You don't take a truck to KOH that you plan on keeping the clear coat in tact... lol. I think that's all it was, just a bunch of stock mall crawling garage queens confused why anyone actually enjoys putting a vehicle through the ringer. Haters gonna hate. :notsure:

One thing did notice from the video is the tire "wear". Seems to have a kind of fuckey alignment judging by the way the outside of the tires are untouched.
