According to the comments on the second video he posted about it he mentioned that the previous owner would go very deep into the woods and would do some not so legal activities so it wouldn’t surprise me.

This one has 120k miles in three years so it had to be moving something. The dude said in the comments on the second video that the previous owner would take it deep into the woods to do some not so legal activities so that lead me to assume it might have something to do with drugs especially being pretty close to Mexico since it’s in SoCal.

    Who cares.

Some people just don't mind tearing things down and rebuilding them. Looks like a young guy who may not know everything the keyboard warriors do but knows enough to tear down and rebuild a truck and have fun doing it. I work on my vehicles all the time....I don't always do things the "right" way the first time but the job gets done in the end and only I know how I got there.

Want to add more miles to that unless you think the owner corrected the speedo (which i doubt) 37" wheels would throw the speedo and odometer off by a good bit

I thought the welding of the chain onto the home made engine hoist extension was the sketchiest thing I saw so far.

I’m just amazed someone put the time into building that truck up (super charger, regeared axle, ARB air locker, OME springs, etc.) to just totally neglect basic maintenance. I’m kinda shocked the truck has a clean title as I would’ve assumed it was stolen.

If he can find a replacement engine for reasonable coin, he could come out OK on this project.

This is absolutely wild, this was steal in my book just bc a new motor is a couple hundred dollars and the super charger itself is like $7,000. Yeah the body has a couple dings but I would of jumped on this deal myself as well.

I'm pretty sure he said it wouldn't stay running.

Atkinson cycle is not as straight forward, and he said he didn't want to.

Engine codes don't tell you your crank bearings are spun, block is cracked or that another mechanical internal item is broken.

I do wish he did some diagnostics on the engine when it was in, I am interested in the journey he takes... The truck was complete, so swapping in a new engine will be pretty simple. Sorting through the electrical issues might be a lot of the time spent.

Exactly, and all that oil leaking in the road is a terrible sign.

What I think of is someone who was decently well off. Got into drugs and their entire life fell apart and they took the truck along with the down fall. Who knows though.

    Looks like a fun project.

There’s a lot of money in that trucks components.

Kings, Fox, super charger, beadlocks, gears, ARB locker, compressor for the locker, OME Dakar leafs, skids, etc.

Not everyone that builds cars/trucks/buggies is looking to turn a profit. (Even though this guy probably could with todays prices.) It’s about the build process and ending up with a bad ass off roader. Not to mention content for his channel.

Looks like a fun project to me. 7K on that supercharger is already half of what he paid. So cross that off and he roughly paid 6K for a 2018 4x4 with tons of upgrades. Looking forward to see what he does with it.
