Wonder which "lives" longer, a Tacoma or a dog?

I couldn't give 2 smelly shits less about a piece of nylon in my current mode of transportation. My dog is a family member. He'd take a bullet for one of us and I'd send a few to protect him. I feel like my dog is a better person than most humans I come in contact with. :pccoffee:

I have a big goofy critter who is 3/4 wolf, 1/4 German Shepherd. He chews up seat belts if left in the car unattended. He thinks that they are tuggy toys...he can pull on them and of course, they'll lock up...so it's like playing tug of war with the truck. Suffice to say, I'm not amused by this, but I give him credit for creativity in entertaining himself.

Just bought a used 07 Tacoma. I'm making another set of my custom seat belt protectors.

    - Measure the distance between top and bottom of the belt at rest for each belt.
    - Buy enough 3" dia PVC pipe to make protectors for each belt.
    - Cut to lengths needed.
    - Either have the home improvement store do this for you or use a table saw to cut a slot lengthwise down each section.
    - Sand the ends and the slot for a nice finish
    - Spray paint with a plastics spray paint (Krylon and Rustoleum both make them) to match or complement your interior.

Now when Fido is in the truck, just slide the unused belts into the slot and turn about a half-turn, that will keep the belts protected from chewing. When not in use, you can stow in the back seat on the floor, or in the back of the truck.
