I think BAMF makes a solid, well engineered product. I don't think you can of wrong with any of the major fab shops (BAMF / Mobtown / Relentless / Pelfreybilt etc.) -- just pick which one you like best.

 

Badass photos dude. I've been seeing people take pics with this filter but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what it is. Could you please fill me in? Thanks! Just bought my 2012 OR Spruce Mica today. I'm getting some great inspiration from your page. Cheers

 

Thanks man, glad you liked them. Those photos were captured in RAW, had some basic editing (pull blown out highlights down, raise the shadows a bit, increase midtones) in Adobe Lightroom followed by filtering through ON1 using the city enhancement preset which basically increases clarity and textures.

CONGRATS!!! on the '12 Spruce So much great info here on this site and a ton of good people. I look forward to seeing where you go with your build

Right now I am in the hunting for a cap stage...lol But I am considering a set of 18in Fuel Beast wheels among others and I HAVE TO UPGRADE THE SOUND!!!!! I am coming out of a Nissan Pathfinder with a premium sound stock Bose system to a tin can sounding stereo. I drive a whole lot and need good sound. I am debating a lift kit but I may be the only one on here but I like the way it sits at stock hight.

 

Cool man. I've never had a premium sound system in a car before so to me my taco doesn't sound that bad but I totally understand if you were accustomed to something better the stock system is sad. I don't plan on doing any crazy lift or 35's but I do need a lift to get back some of the travel I've lost squatting from the weight of the armor.

I think the spruce's are one of the smaller groups compared to all the whites/magnetic grays/pyrites etc. seen on here. I look forward to your build and what you have planned stereo wise.....maybe you'll motivate me to upgrade hahah

Quick update of a few small things fixed up over the last few weeks:

1. Secondary air injection pump unifilter mod. Check.






2. At The Helm bedside braces. Check.



3. Replaced air filter. Check.



Gratuitous dog photo. Check.

 

These are all on my to do list. Except puppy photos, I have lots of those.

Lubed the drive shafts today. Took some pics for reference to contribute to the drive shaft lube thread.

2013 4x4 TRD OR:

Front shaft, front zerk


Front shaft, rear zerk (using a mirror to visualize it from above, U joint is protected by a plate)


Rear shaft, front zerk


Rear shaft, middle zerk


Rear shaft, rear zerk (just in front of rear diff)

 

Got this almost all the way installed this afternoon. Just waiting on some add-a-circuits and Deutsch connectors from Amazon to finish things off.


Pulled this plug adjacent the brake booster.




From the cab looking up you can see daylight where the plug was.


Rubber grommet from Lowes.



Wires fed through firewall.



Just modified the aluminum bracket that came with the Switch-Pro for heeps -- may order a Pelfreybilt bracket.....
