That is nice. Does that work with the dometic plug though?

It’s one of the easiest things you could wire up. +12 from battery, ran back to plug. Then another wire from plug to the frame. Boom, that’s it. Would be a good beginner project if you wanted to improve.

Almost, but no. The wire is a bit too thin. You’ll want 14-12 gauge, depending where you’re mounting it.

Yes it will work. I have the same kit, and it works very well for me. It comes with threaded socket and 10 GA wire.

Crazy how expensive those are when you can get the female plug for $2.

We are going out to dinosaur national monument, Rocky Mountain National Park and badlands. Should be a fun trip.

If I knew anything about how to make that handy plug box then yeah, I could save.l a ton of money. I don’t and I want what I want so I snagged it. Only bummer is I wish the wire was longer. Had to extend it and added a plug to work with our drawer system.

Ok. Finished drawer system and installed my @Dometic wiring kit and hooked up the 95. No where near enough wire so I had to add more 10 gage wire. I used a 12 gage plug to connect it and to allow me to unplug and remove the drawer system As needed without cutting the wire. 12 gage is all we could find and Oreilly auto parts guy said it should be fine. Is it going to be ok or do I need to get a 10 gage plug? Thanks!

12 gauge should be just fine. But definitely don’t go any smaller.

@Natenite - like @Newlife mentioned, 12 gauge should be fine. In our hardwire kit, we use 10AWG but that is designed to run from your battery all the way back to the cooler. You should be good:thumbsup:

Thanks for the info. The wiring in the packaged kit from you guys was too short so I had to buy and use more 10 gauge wire to reach. Not a ton but maybe 4 or 5 feet. The union is where I added the plug. The double plug device from the kit is nice though. Should be handy. You can see how I had to build around the fridge and that meant a good bit more cable as I have to go to the tail light area to get my wire into the bed of the truck.

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
Finally got my Alu-Cab slide in. Ordered it in the spring but Covid has delayed some of the supply chain. The first ship from South Africa docked on August 1 but my order was on the next ship. Was definitely worth the wait though. Without the tilting feature I’d have to stand on my tip toes to see inside. Also came up with a more permanent system to hold the PLB40 down.

It's sad about the CFX3 line recall... I just initiated my refund. I can justify spending so much money on a fridge and having the fix to be just a sticker plus I don't want to risk having issues in the future. Hope they can resolve the issue with a new production.

Yeah well, any recall sucks. The sticker will fix it though o_O

Anyways, I registered via cfx3 app, still didn't hear anything. Now my fridge is having an issue with false temp readout. When if it shows false low temp, 'compressor' doesn't kick in, and compartment gets warm... I'll have to contact them and have it figured out
