Did you figured out the issue with them ?

I had to fill out a document for the return and I'm waiting to hear back from them. Apparently UPS will come and pick it up. The thing that bothers me besides the obvious is that I also bought the PLB40 with the fridge and I asked them if I could also return it for a full refund and they said yes but I would be charge a 20% restocking fee. Yes the PLB40 has no issues but I bought it to be use with my CFX3. o_O

@Dometic, how much height does the cover add to the DZ75? I’m working with pretty tight tolerances as it is with my diy slide.

The height on the DZ75 is 18.58". The height of the cover is 19.1". Given this plan on around 3/4" increase in height with the cover.

    Hope this helps!

Just throwing this out there for now. Would anyone be interested in the south East in a possible trade plus a little cash on your end for a cfx3 75dz for a cfx3 55? For the Tacoma it was great. For the 4 runner I have no room in the back. It fits but it is literally against the back seat to the hatch.

If you can’t find anyone your way, hit me up later on and I may take you up on it. I don’t really have a need to jump from a 55 to a 75 but I have the room for it and a kid on the way, so it wouldn’t hurt.

@Dometic I placed an order for a CFX# 55IM August 11. Ever time I inquire about it on the Dometic site, I get standard message that they hope to ship my order by the end of next week. Any idea when these will be back in stock and ready to ship?

I've got an email out to the team asking about backorders that were placed several weeks ago. Can you private message me your order number? I'll send that over and see if we can get a better answer for you.

Fridge ran great this week for it first trial. The first few days are hot though and though the freezer side was set to 5 or 3 degrees it would be up around 15-20 degrees at times. Is that normal or do I need to look into creating more venting space in the system? We have about 4-5 inches of space where the vent area is. Everything was still frozen in the fridge but I don’t want to wear the compressor out prematurely. Thanks! @Dometic

As much venting as you can muster is always good. If it's super hot (ambient) and via solar heating on the cooler you'll see some temperature variation. When the temperature did rise do you know if the battery protection system happened to trip?

It was only ever reading a higher temp when we were driving. I think we had the low voltage warning once or twice in the mornings and maybe it had shut off the fridge one time early in the trip when things were warmer....maybe but otherwise had no issues. Truck always started too. We did upgrade to a 27f battery though.

As for venting, I can move the fridge forward more but I will loose significant functionality for the drawer system. Is there a rule of thumb or anything for venting space? We ended up setting two fans above the vent space to draw the warm air out and it definitely helped. Used the USB port on the fridge to run one of them nonstop. Super helpful!
