The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
Alu-Cab makes a tilting slide too although also not sure about how affordable.

Well just got off the phone with customer support. After waiting to be connected, and troubleshooting I had already done, I was told to exchange the fridge because it shouldnt be doing that. I said okay, how do I do that when I ordered directly from you guys. She explained I need to take it to an authorized center and theyll continue from here.

So far I have not been impressed with this. That center is across town and only open during my work hours. I asked if I can just send this one back and mail me a new one. That was declined. Not very happy with this.

My unsolicited .02, just run it as is and see how much of an issue it really is. If it's only changing a matter of a degree or two in either direction, I can't see that having a tangible impact on anything. If it's causing issues then you can just pursue the warranty issue in a couple months, or whenever, seeing as the warranty period is so long. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do.

The 'user defined' temp within the temp menu option should not be changing on its own, at least not that I have seen. I have the 45 and have not had it override the set temp. As @EatSleepTacos mentioned, the displayed temp on the main screen will fluctuate slightly as it cools and then warms - all expected IMO.

Personally, I'd set it and not mess with it for 24 hours, give it a chance to stabilize the internal temp. Once it's been 24 hours or more, then monitor and see if it continues to change the set temp by itself.

Thanks @EatSleepTacos and @Area51Runner. I appreciate the help. I think I'll do that this weekend. Set it a degree or two higher at the start and load it in the back of the wife's 4runner.

Nice! Running mine in the same location but just using the seat back as the platform, with the seat cushion unbolted and removed. 9FA5D919-3029-4366-A13D-BA0F04072A1F.jpg

Nice, it’s a great spot for it for sure. Looks like your setup is working just fine but a platform will make the fridge super secure for accidents and gives a decent amount of storage space. Im currently keeping a CLS bag, impact, drill, air up/down kit, and bino’s below mine. Details below

Curious what people are doing when their trucks are parked and sitting, say in the case of a non-daily but more of a weekly or a couple of times a week driver. Leaving it plugged in to AC and running or powered down and then cooling a day before heading out?

I don’t leave the fridge in daily, I only put it in for trips or an occasion that calls for it. So for me it is plugged to AC in my place as a beer fridge, so its always cold and ready to go.

I just turn it off and crack the lid open so there’s no moisture trapped in there. Turn it on when I know I’ll need it.

As he says below, it’s a beer fridge in the office normally, but I do have solar on my roof that will run the fridge indefinitely with at least partial sun.
Same! Beer fridge means I get my money’s worth out of it!

I have an old Truckfridge TB51. Thing has been a champ, lives in the truck full time and when the truck parked its plugged into A/C so on 24/7.
I upgraded to a Dometic CFX3 55IM during the last REI sale, haven’t even fired it up yet. I’m trying to decide on part time versus full time.

What are your thoughts on longevity of the fridge compressor when starting it up before each use or on full time?
Maybe @Dometic has some thoughts on this.

Exactly what I was wondering (compressor longevity). I've had the CFX3 45 in the truck now since 9/4. Not really driving it at all and its garaged so its on AC. When i do head out, its plugged into the Yeti 1000/100w panel. I like to have the area above the compressor at or just slightly below 40f. I have found with the 45, in order to achieve this I have to have it set to 34 or 35.

Mine only goes in the truck for trips. We also use it in my wife’s Forester for trips.
When it’s not running off the truck DC, I run it off my Ecoflow River Pro battery. Eventually I’ll buy a solar panel for my battery pack, but I don’t want to permanently install it on my truck. I’m all about flexibility, I don’t really understand the trend of having things permanently bolted/installed to one vehicle all the time.

Same here. I love mounting and dismounting my winch, spare tire, and steel bumpers every day.

When I said things, I should have said camping gear. Not vehicle modifications.
