Below is information showing at what points the battery protection for the CFX3 will kick in and shut the cooler down as well as in what range it will happily run.

I sure wish the software would allow you to tell the Dometic what battery chemistry is being used. I power mine with LiFePO, so even if I set the protection level to high, it won't kick in until I'm down to about a 5% state of charge. I'd rather not draw my battery down that low since it impacts lifetime.

Brief report of 1st road trip with CFX3 55IM.
Western NC to Fort Collins, Colorado by I40, I35, I70, & I25. Then reverse to get back.
All good, wife loved it too.
    8 days away from home.

2 frozen gallon jugs of water for temp stability.
    Temp set to 34°F.
Jackery 500 plugged into the 12v outlet of truck.
Dometic DC input plugged into Jackery.
Hotel stays left the Jackery above 90% every day. Dometic was left in the truck running on Jackery.
One frozen jug was still half frozen when we got home.

It was winter weather, that explains the low battery usage.
A little tight fit behind passengers seat in Access Cab, hard to open and close the lid, but do-able.

We are both really glad we got this cooler.

    Ken

@Dometic did you ever get the promo code worked out for TW members? I know it was in the works, but just haven't heard anything about it being active or fixed...

I've been pinging the e-commerce team about this for a couple of weeks now and just heard from them yesterday. They are still trying to figure out why they aren't working as they are showing as being active on the platform :(

I'll reply back as soon as I get an update. Hopefully, they can sort out what the problem is and get this operational again!

Looking for a CFX cooler to scavange for parts, specifically one that hasn't lost refrigerant. Any leads or info is appreciated.

Didn't see anything on their website but I'll try to give a store a call. My hope is I can find one with busted electronics and a working evap/compressor and just swaps the brains out. Really trying to avoid spending a grand for a coolant leak...

They said it was a coolant leak and it would cost me more to fix it than to buy a new one. It's a 3 year old cooler a year outside of warranty. I was hoping someone here had upgraded to a cfx3 still had the old one kicking around.

Question. Does the app tell you when the refrigerator has shut off? I ordered the 55IM.

Like from voltage protection cut off? Yeah you get a push notification. Or at least I’m 80% sure, it’s been awhile since I’ve had an alarm go off on the fridge.

As long as you’re within Bluetooth range and the app is open I’m pretty sure. I tested the run times when I was at home and I kept going too far from the fridge, so no alert until I checked. Wifi might be different but I didn’t connect mine to wifi

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
Don't know if you got an answer or made decision but I keep my 75DZ mounted on a tilting slider in my bed. It definitely big and takes up more space than I'd like, but it does fit and leaves room for other gear. If I was to do it again though I'd buy a smaller size.

I'll take another listen with the headphones on but just sounds like refrigerant coursing through the system to me.

It just has that rattling noise? (not sure how to describe that) than the humming sound from the refrigerant running

Hmmm... now that I put the headphones on yeah, I hear it too. I wonder if it sat on its side during shipping for an extended period of time. How long has it been since you plugged it in and started running? That 'rubbing' noise is not normal in my opinion but then again, I'm not a dometic tech. Suggest checking in with @Dometic. Perhaps it can be sent straight away to their tech people for comment. Could also try calling their support # 1-800-544-4881.
