The "Elf on the Shelf" - Who Does it???

C'mon, get more posted. These are friggin' funny!

 

Never grew up with the elf on the shelf. My parents didn't grow up in this country so they had never heard of the tradition. This year was the first time they heard about it. Explaining the concept to them was priceless. The looks of confusion on their faces -- "why would we ever want to do that?"

 

Guilty. My daughter wakes up in the morning and scours the house looking for Marlin (that's what she named him). Helps get her out of bed in the morning. It's become a tradition.

FWIW, not all of these guys are cocoa heads, porn stars, murders or cinematographers.

 

Our elf's name is Fred.

We do it for our son. He loves looking for him every morning.

This was my favorite from a couple nights ago. Elfie had to poop.

Here is our elf this AM. Our kids enjoy it and to see their faces light up when they find her is worth it!

 

"Twinkle" got us good last night...Gift wrapped the throne and took a nap under the blanket my son made for her last year.
