    Every warranty available.
Reading hearing in the community this week that multiple dealerships are calling customers to refund deposits and cancel orders/allotments on new 6MT tacomas. My local dealership says that 24' models will have i4 and i4hyrbid powertrains with no MT option (suckfest!), and that production on new MT builds sport/offroad/pro has ended.

Seems a bit early considering we havent started 23' yet, perhaps supply chain issues forced their hand earlier than anticipated?
Dealer also mentioned that radar sensors were massively backordered all year, which slowed production on the pro/tech package trims that use them. Tesla moved away from radar early in 2022 although they didnt admit it was due to cost+supply.
From the totally un-biased polling and thread research i estimate MT gen3 tacomas are 1-3%
Dealership said they see one manual for every hundred or more automatic tacomas.

I love that toyota is pushing GR manuals and performance, maybe GR love comes back around to the taco in its next form. Or maybe the manual yota truck is gone forever. If i wanted to drive automatic scum i guess id just overpay for a raptor?

If it is true, that dealers are calling to cancel orders it is due to availability. The 2023's are available in manual and nothing has been released by Toyota for the 2024 model to say otherwise. I won't believe anything I read until its released by Toyota.

I am tempted to buy another one and stick it in the garage. Should be able to get $100,000 on Bring a Trailer in a couple years! :D

    Some unfounded info there.

All Tacomas after 2018 have radar sensors, not just the 'Technology Packages.'

A higher percentage of MTs were built.

One or two dealerships doesn't create a statistical average. Just a data point.

let's wait for actual updates from the MFG first. The internet ninnys have a lot of hyperbole to spread around.

Not really. There are 136 in the pipeline as we speak. 111 of them are 2023s:

Nice, using only curl and jq no less. I think someone did the math a while back, and while the total percentage of Tacomas sold in MT was like 5-10%, the percentage was actually higher for TRD OR/Sport/Pro packages (so excluding fleet and work vehicles). That said, I bought mine in part because I had a feeling MT could go away with the next generation.

It sounds like the dealer is pulling OPs leg.

    Agreed.

Unverified, it was said that MTs were right around 5% and supposedly locked there due to the lower rated MPG numbers. Producing more would have affected the corporate numbers somehow.

I do take things that a dealer or two say with a massive grain of salt. By and large, we all know that they're there to sell what's already on the lot and they are generally willing to say whatever they need to make a sale or get a customer out of the shop queue.

I just got my 23 TRD OR. I originally tried to order an MT in September, then got a call that it was no longer available in my configuration (OR, Access Cab, MT 4X4, also Army Green was no longer available). I wound up choosing a Celestial Silver AT, Access Cab with the 6' bed. I was looking at the website around that time, and the option for a 6speed manual was limited to only the TRD Sport, if I remember correctly. I got my truck last Friday, and promptly joined this MB.

The OR AC MT was last available in the USA in 2015, the Sport is your only choice for a MT in an AC.

Someone had posted yesterday that the Dealership canceled their order for a 23 Pro MT. They assumed it was nationwide, but my guess is that dealer already went through their allocations of Pro's already.
