It's so dark that adjusting blacks changes it more usually.

No. That is an awning. 55". It's separate. Smallest one cvt makes but they make bigger ones. I have mesh walls for it too and you can get solid walls and floor for them too.

So expensive, but the more I read about them, the more I am realizing how awesome they really are

Yea  not cheap...but..neither are tires..or lockers..or crawl boxes..or suspension..

But makes life all the more fun and easy when your doing the expedition type runs. Hell I actually enjoy the RTT on quick trips more then anything actually. My brother and I would run up the mountain late and get in at dark. Hence the light over haul too..but the RTT is easy for use to setup. We just pull in somewhere. Set it up. And go to bed. Wake up. Make breakfast. Pack the tent. Hit the road to go explore or to our hiking spot or whatever we are doing that day. Very Convenient

Yep, your Youtube video is what mainly won me over, before seeing that I didn't think it just popped up and was ready to go in a matter of minutes

The only problem I have with RTTs is finding spots to park the truck by a campsite without it being obnoxious, e.g. too close to the fire pit, kitchen galley, etc...

Another potential issue is when camping in the woods with low tree canopies.

That said, I definitely foresee myself stepping up to a RTT one day.

I have a 8" thick queen size blow up mattress and memory foam topper for my ground tent.

It's like sleeping on a tempurpedic bed in the woods.

My wife and I have the same thing. We had a double high one laying around and decided to try thst and it worked but it was too tall so we picked up a single high one:D it has a built in electric pump and I just plug it into my bed outlet.

    lol.. not really.

There are certainly wide open spaces like most of the pictures in this thread, however a majority of camping I hit up are on trails like this:

    ph2oto4_zps7b740b0d_04252a622f020bb38ca1b7dc77de9fb334c69aa8.jpg

Where the campsites are off the trail in the woods. And typically where we leave the trucks are away from where the camp, kitchen, fire ring, etc are.
