    Yup, I'm not interested in doing the switchbacks so I'll be starting out on the north end, where the Morrison joins up to the Beartooth Highway, and driving south to the top of the switchbacks where we'll wait for everyone else.

    It's a lot farther, distance and time, to get to Moab than it does to Lander from Fort Funzo.

    dam, both those drives aren't bad at all...its basicially 550 miles both to moab and lander:mad:

    each trip ends up being a 1000 mile round trip.






    Monte....just to clarify for me once more...what are the start and stop locations (gimme a town) for leg one and two? And any idea on distance of actual wheeling for each leg? It's getting close so I actualyl need to start figuring out time and cost of this bitch. Like where do we meet up and where do we say our tearful good byes?

    Yeah, that's why I'm aiming for the Lander trip. Going up to Powell is like an 8 hour drive and going to Telluride is like a 7 hour drive.

    Plus after doing Black Bear Pass in the Tacoma, I swore I'd never do those switchbacks again in this truck with its turning radius.

    If it makes you feel any better he's trying to strike fear into me also... being on a 165,000 mile stock suspension and 31s.... Jon also says Monte is being a drama queen [​IMG] and says I'll be fine on that leg.

    But I hear ya about work/time commitments... it's the only thing that may prohibit me from making the trip myself.

    There were definitely a few butthole = decimal point moments making an 8-point turn on the shelves.

    When I had my full size Bronco on 33s, it was absolutely no effort at all. But the Tacomas have a turning radius equivalent to a cruise ship.
