    Actually the main problem with my radio last year on Magruder was that it kept sliding off the seat and down to the passenger side floor board where I couldn't reach it!

    We may cross trails in the San Juans. The wife and I are always on day trips there that time of year. We have pretty much been everywhere in the SJs so feel free to ask any questions. If you are open to some suggestions let me know. I will toss one out now, stay flexible on the exact route. Leave some wiggle room for the weather. For example, if it is wet, stay away from lower Corkscrew below the tree line. It is steep, twisty dirt and turns into very slick mud. And one more, I just can't resist. Out of 10-15 trips over Imogene, we experienced snow squalls every single time (Aug-Sept). One was a complete white out for about 15 minutes then bone dry in another 15 followed by a perfect sunny afternoon.

    I had planned for 4 days at least down there. Mostly cause it looks like there is lots of side shit. But cool weather sounds like it'll make it fun :D
