I'm still planning on coming. Will all depend on army funding...

You should come down man! You could bring your dirtbike for the dunes too. I can always put you up in the living room on an air mattress. If we move at the end of the month and have an actual 2nd bedroom then we might even have a spare bed for you to sleep on. haha

Christina Lake Rd trail report 2013...

Had the most fun I've had in a long time today! Whitey got "real" trail tested and amazed the hell out of me. Took a ride down Christina Lake Rd, mainly to get a feel for how a second gen does down this trail and give an update on the trail after this years runoff, which is still happening... Overall the trail is a straight up blast. Just enough challenge for the first 80 percent of the trail that you can sort of relax and just have a good time driving(it is still a trail and you can still get in trouble here...). The last 20 percent of the trail is pretty gnar. I made it to about 90 percent of the way and had enough for one day, plus I was by myself. The trail progressively gets harder and the rocks get bigger and more awkwardly placed. I used my sliders once today and put a small dent in the stock tin foil skid. Concentrating on picking lines and getting through the last part of the trail beats you down, along with all the bobbing around on the rocks. I had 25 psi all around and the E rated duratracs held up very well. A few spots I thought I was in trouble as I watched the sidewalls crinkle down real low... but no flats and the ride was really comfortable for how nasty some of the rock sections were. Anyways, spent about 2 hours getting to my turn around point and less getting out since I knew my lines. Saw a few fourwheelers and dirtbikes. All of them looked at me like I was a freakn nut, especially the group that cought me near the end of the trail, they all became yota believers today. On to pictars!

Can't believe more people haven't jumped around for that post.

Thanks Marc!! SOOOOO JEEAAALLOOOUUUSSSS!!! Fuck looks gorgeous.

So did you make it all the way to the river before turning around? Glad to here you thought it was fun. That trail has been one of my favs. Not to hard but not easy. And if you think that one got hard to concentrate on wait till Shoshone. Much worse for that.

But glad you liked it and got to beat on the rig a bit! Also glad you didn't kill the truck. 32s are a go then!..I'd think..Shoshone is a tad worse..but not impossible

Great pics. Thanks for the report. Even now it looks different then last year.

Also. 2nd vid for those of you looking for a fun part. Instead of taking marks line you can turn right before. Big ass ledge. Jon caught air bouncing up it last year. You locked fellas should have better luck..but if you don't have a belly skid or 33s might want to skip it.

Ya, I agree, excellent trail. Probably a bit rough for some but its still good. Nope I didnt get to the river but the wheelers I saw said it was about a quarter mile down the trail and reeeeal deep... So I just turned around. ya 32s were fine, id say as long as you're lifted enough they'll be fine.
