    actually the biologist here that does the bear aware classes told a story about a time when he had gone camping and had picked up a pizza on his way out of town. he had stinky garlic pepperoni breath that night and woke up with a bear pressing its face against the wall of the tent and sniffing. he whacked the bear on the nose with the butt of his gun and scared the crap out of it and it ran away :laugh:

    fine, we'll set up two camps then. One for those of us who don't care to get mauled and another camp for the rest of you.

    Lisa is right - and I know a bit about camping in bear country - like bear caches and what not.

    If you're serious about NO bears in camp, people, then your toothpaste must go in your truck! That goes for your deodorant, perfumes, and what not... pretty much anything that smells - bears can smell for miles.

    Honestly people. Wth all our chatter we will scare off any big wildlife within 5 miles I'm sure. Bears won't be a problem. No me need to whip out their gun ever.

    But they really aren't haha, or if there are, there are so few that no one seems them. You have to go a few hours north to start to get into them. We don't even have wolves really. One or two sightings within the last year though so the wolves are making their way down since being reintroduced.
