Received my kit today so here's my honest review:
First off, great product! Super beefy mount, awesome powdercoating with zero flaws. Bends and cutouts are on point so the light fits perfectly in there perfectly while being snug enough to not bounce around yet easy enough to store/retrieve without taking too long. All inclusive with hardware and extra parts like o-rings and such. (It's the little things that you can technically get at any hardware store, but it's a pain the ass when you actually have to go get them- glad they were included with my purchase. Thanks Chad!). The flashlight (although not a @KB Voodoo product in itself) is super bright! Excellent choice by Chad to use this light for his kit. My EDC streamlight (which usually blows people away when I show it off to other guys at work) does not even compare to this light at all! The light has a bunch of features and takes some getting used to be able to cycle through them on the first try, but a damn good light for the money.
    Now the not so good:
Some people have mentioned with other Voodoo products that the finished edges of the steel parts could use some refining. This one is no different. I'm not super picky, but a couple minutes on a grinding wheel would clean this right up. If it bothered me at all, I would do it myself, but it doesn't and I could live with it. This may be attributed to using a plasma table as opposed to laser cutting which leaves a cleaner edge. Just so everyone is clear, this is only a cosmetic preference, so if you're super picky about stuff like that, you've been warned.

Overall I would rate this a 9.5 out of 10 and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a truck light. I dig it and can't wait to use it (hopefully not in an emergency). Thanks again for the great products man- keep them coming!

This is exactly correct. Laser cutting is far more refined than plasma, but unfortunately it drive the cost beyond the point that anyone would pay, with little added benefit.

Excellent review by the way. Thanks!!!

PS: Make sure you charge it overnight. The battery doesn't ship with a full charge.

Tanks again man. Instructions say full charge in 6 hours and the indicator light shows when you're at 100% (which is an awesome feature in itself). Small print on the instructions say to clean and regrease the threads of the light every six month using a silicone based grease. This is super important to keep the o-rings lubed and the light sealed. I would also recommend some dielectric grease for the charging port to prevent contamination and corrosion. Happy customer here!:cheers:

Haven't mounted it yet- just got it this weekend. :D But the two front runners seem to be the same place as everyone else (side of the driver's seat), or horizontal on the side of the shifter console. I have to see which would be easier to get to, but not bang my knee while I'm driving. I'd like to have it somewhere where I can have it charging if need be while still being mounted. I could run a separate usb port to wherever I end up mounting it, but it seems like there would be an easier solution. Pictures incoming once I have it up though.

Just received mine, and like @GHOST SHIP already said, the bracket and flashlight are excellent. Here are a few photos of both the bracket and light for your viewing pleasure. I will be mounting them later on tonight, once installed I'll post some more pics. Once again thanks Chad for your great work and excellent customer service!!!

I also forgot to mention how useful the diffuser is. When you want light without a focused beam, this thing is unbeatable. Essentially turns the flashlight into a lantern with diffused light in all directions. The picture on the packaging shows some people in a tent using the light and diffuser to read.

So after weighing my options, there really isn't a better place to mount the light other than the trusty plastic on the left of the driver's seat. The lid of the center console idea was cool, but the weight of the light and mount would make the lid close, necessitating that you actually hold it open to get to anything in there. The side of the shifter was another idea, but there was no middle ground where the light didn't interfere with the seat sliding forward or me hitting my knee against it when I drive. Super happy- thanks again man!
