So these guys played a lot at a local bar in college and they even got to play at cheyenne frontier days last year. I watched this video and looks like it was all filmed where i went to school. Good ol' Laradise Wyoming. https://youtu.be/pKyTeNJKw6E

Decided I wanted to get a little more hands on, took a leap, got a guitar and my roommate is helping me learn.

Didn't really read through the thread so sorry if I'm beating a dead horse, but I wanna throw my 2 cents in.
For the most part I'm not a fan of modern country. There's a few artists that I like, even a couple that I listen to religiously, but for the most part its just all way too.... manufactured, is the word I'm looking for. Like it was made by a record label for tasteless listeners, not by a man with a passion for music. What I love more than anything is old school outlaw country. Anything by Merle Haggard (who's one of my favorite artists) and the like.

Side note, Florida Georgia Line is terrible and should be banned from the radio

Don't need to read shit. This thread is nothing but people's opinions, and all are welcome. But you said pretty much what the rest of us have said. Few exceptions, mostly crap. If you have any suggestions of random artists that people may not know that is also appreciated.

There's a couple modern ones people may not know. Sara Watkins is great (Long Hot Summer Day is an awesome song). Old Crow Medicine Show is pretty much only known for the song Wagon Wheel, but they have a lot of other great songs that feel raw and unedited, and give that old school folky country feel

It's a little cookie cutter. But it might grow on me.
