I like your mic holder location. I would totally copy it....if my ARB locker and air compressor switches were not already there.

You could always move them to the other side of the wheel like mine.

Going under the knife tomorrow, got a bent axle housing that probably should've been fixed miles ago. Most likely caused the seal failure. On a positive note, no abs in the doner axle. (yes @DJB1, the e brake cable will be attended to )

Hey man, I don’t care if you snag your e-brake cable on a rock if you don’t care.

You got some incredible longevity out of those axle parts. You drove it for months knowing that the housing was bent, then we went on a 500 mile round trip in 100 degree heat with at least 300 of those miles on dirt, you took it on gnarly OHV trails, and it still didn't outright fail until you were a few miles from home. It is surprising how much abuse OEM Toyota parts can handle.

OEM for the win. Just a slight bend in the housing...

Got the doner axle cleaned up and decided that I might as well add some beef to it.

    Cut the weak point off.

Quarterpounder with cheese vs the kiddy meal.

    20180719_141143.jpg

    Should be much stronger.

Now for the weld and cool down wait, would hate to warp up another one.

All melted up, feels like I just welded a lunch box to my rear end.

And some cycling for better shock placement.

Was going to install some of @Plastics Guy's bump stops and found this mess today...

Looks like I'll be rebooting my axles this weekend instead of fishing.
