For the price I am happy to be able to air up anywhere. I will probably upgrade in the future and this one will be a great backup.

...I didn't really spend any time up there. The lower elevations up to 4 corners had zero snow. Ran into the snow just up the hill past 4 corners near the large rock pit shooting spot. Turned around and came back down because I was not prepared at all and I didn't have much time before sundown. Lol. I was nearby so I couldn't resist driving up there real quick.

Quite a few things at this point..
Have any of you guys/gals gone out to La Dee OHV area? It's another decent place relatively close to Portland, but not as big Brown's and much less variety. Loooooooooove Brown's, we're so lucky to have it :D

Definitely subbing to this group for times I've got nothing going on with my Taco friends group.

A little about myself: I'm a HUGE nerd as well (love the current group name).. I'm also still pretty darn new to offroading, though I've done quite a bit so far with a group of close friends who all got Tacoma's around the same time. I've had my truck for about 6 months now, going on 7. It's name is Ripley, no gender affiliated, but named after Ripley from Alien, obviously lol. Anyways, I'm excited to join in and hopefully have my other friends come as well to get a real taco train out there.

Here's some pictures of my truck and a trail video from a trip out in La Dee.

Hey, would love to join you guys on sunday. I've got a couple radios and some basic recovery gear. No winch or armor yet.
I'm not much into hard core offroading, more into getting off the beaten path and taking cool photos.

I’ve been to Ladee. It’s fun, but definitely got some tights spots. It sealed the deal for sliders being a must. Cool place though.

Totally agree!! I actually just ordered a set of sliders about 2 days ago. Went with RCI. Not excited to wait a couple weeks to get them, but will be worth it :D

Never been to La Dee. Maybe we can do that for the run after March 1st.

You are welcome to join us! Nothing too hard core in post canyon as far as I remember.

Sounding like we are gonna have a big group this run. That's awesome!

So I keep reading the post in here and I'm wondering if there is any challenging parts to this trail your talking about running ? You know the kind of spots you're afraid to take your trucks through. I ask because if I drive up there it's 350miles round trip and I'd want some challenges. But my truck is set up for the harder lines . Full armor, sliders, lift, winch, high clearance, 35's IMG_3045.jpgIMG_3031.jpg

I don't think the area we are going to this time has what you are looking for to make the drive worth it. Don't want ya to make the drive and be disappointed. Browns camp definitely does. Plan on doing that again soon, but not March 1st.

Just watched this video. That looks like a fun trail!

Gotta check out La Dee for the meet up following March 1.

Hey folks! Figured I'd follow along on this post as well. I'm from VT but am in the PNW (Tacoma, WA) for a work assignment and would love to meet up and check out some trails. I'm decently well equipped with sliders, 33's, front skid, some basic recovery gear and am waiting on a bumper (comes in 2 weeks! woooo). I do also have a RTT on my fiberglass shell so if it cracks we'll know that I've attempted something a little too much for it to handle haha I don't know if I'll make it for the 1st but let me chat with the better half as we were maybe planning on being in the area that weekend anyways!
Also, side note since the OP's truck is gray and it's named Gandalf, maybe since mine is red it's name should be Smaug?.... :D

After mounting new wheels and tires I’m remounting the new tires to my old wheels, hoping they don’t rub on my UCAs or I’m out!

On that note if any of you guys need a set of new TRD Off Road 16” wheels I have a like-new set for $300. Gotta get rid of them and cry once for some FNs or SCS. Shoot you can have the brand new lug nuts for free...

This is the goal for my truck, but it's just not there yet. Haven't had it very long. Cool rig!
