Thanks. The longs bed 3rd gens are definitely harder to come by. I found the ad almost midnight decided to give it a shot and email the person. was secind in line to. a person that had a Nissan. Haha.
I dont currently have any plans to build a bed or any storage. Leave as is for now, but will for sure use for camping back there. I dont usually leave stuff in my truck so a storage wouldnt make sense yet.

Hey everyone, I'm thinking of getting out to the east side of Tillamook Forest on Saturday to run the trails that are open over there. (Baring Browns trails opening up between now and then.)

My weekends are going to be clogged up between now and the middle of November so i probably won't have to get out wheeling other than this Saturday.

    Is anyone interested?

Have you looked at the trail map for the western half of the forest? (east side is still closed) There are not very many moderate 4x4 trails - Jones Creek Rd and Truck dent are the only 2 trails north of the highway and they're both short, truck dent is very short taking less than 10 min to run. Last time I was over that way Jones Creek Rd was closed for logging but that was a year or two ago so that could've changed by now. Either way you'll probably be in for alot of gravel road cruising.

I've never taken the truck south of the highway on the west side, I usually ride my moto when I'm down that way. I haven't run Archers Firebreak but that looks like the main 4x4 trail down there (with some hard sections peppered in you'd probably want to bypass).

I've got a buddy coming up from Grants Pass this week that had his heart set on a TSF run but I talked him into heading up to the GP instead since all the trails are all still open up there.

According to http://tillamookforestcenter.org/ you can now access the trails from Jordan Creek area. Rogers road trail is off Hwy 6 and will take you up the ridge. It’s narrow and I had ferns brushing the side of the truck the whole way (been at least a year ago). There’s also Firefox (short) and Stick in the Nose. I don’t recommend that last one unless you want a more difficult trail or you’re more experienced.

Ginsberg point trail is in the Trask area much south of these. Never done that one, but it’s longer.

I would not run stick in the nose without 33s at least, sliders, and a spotter…especially in the long bed. Just my advice since I know you’re fairly newer.

Ginsberg might take a while to get down to from Jordan Creek area. Let me get a photo…

Btw, that Jeep trail was closed the only time I went there a while back. They were logging right in the middle of it. I didn’t even see where the trail used to go. Total dead end.

I’m not saying it can’t be done on stock tires, but you might not have a good time. Lol
