You got a shovel? You can also try using some branches and pine boughs as improvised traction boards. Always the floor mat traction aid tactic as well. They’re not the best but you midaswell try it all instead of just sitting and waiting.

Ok, omw from goldendale. 1.25 hours to Carson. Not sure if you have comms, but I will be monitoring 146.460 on ham radio and channel 46 if you have the midland walkie talkies. If you get out by yourself, give me a call at 5092500041 and tell me to go home:)

I swear, only takes getting stuck in snow once for you to never forget a shovel again lol. The one time I tried the floormat trick I ended up with the truck still stuck and a shredded floormat.

Good luck! Curious what the scene looks like. Hopefully it's an easy recovery.

True facts - I got stuck in about 200 yards of snow the night before the wife graduated (she was with me) and I dug from 6pm until dawn to get her to her ceremony.. we were about 5 miles south of govvy but out of cell range. Also did it using some kayak paddles we had in the car at the time.

Now that the rescue is successful, @C41n and I are planning to head to some of the trails west of Browns Camp in Tillamook next Wednesday 5/11.

We plan to leave Sellwood area of Portland around 9 am.

If you’re interested let us know. I have a spare radio someone could borrow.

@chicanosoup no problem! Better to have been omw to help and have it not needed then to have someone need help and have no one show up. I am pretty sure we have all been the guy stuck in the snow/mud/ditch at one time or another.
