That’s sounds awesome! Just talking with my brother in-law and Father in-law trying to figure out some disbursed camping and though about Barlow Trail. Just concerned about the snow level.

I’ll be at the camp morrow portion of Pine Hollow Saturday for a few hours. Kids have a day camp. Hoping the rain tappers off by then.

I was up around frog lake and clear lake yesterday. There were a few patches of snow, but for the most part it was gone. I’d guess Barlow and LoLo are similar. Shady areas with snow, exposed sections bare.

Thinking of getting out to TSF on Monday. Open to trails if anyone else wants to tag along.

Mid-June 2022… Barlow Trail is closed. White River fire clean up. Doubt it’ll open up this year. Drove around today looking for a campsite. Settled on a site near flag point. Breezy up here!

Looks like Bennet is not ready yet? Some tree debris and snow drifts at the opening of the road.

Badger and Bonney Meadows are out for another week or so unless you got big big tires and a winch. (I had 33s and a winch.) Tried getting past the first few snow patches. But the patches were about 2’ deep and slushy. My tires would just sink and slip. It was my first time getting the Tacoma stuck. Finally got to use the MaxTrax on my own truck and not someone else’s.

Any one interested in Badger Lake Sunday morning, July 3rd?

Planning to meet 2 other vehicles at the Bennet Pass snow park at 8:30am, drive to badger lake, then finish the rest of Bennet Pass rd (if possible).

Expecting some snow, and possibly a few downed trees. Planning to bring a chainsaw, shovels and recovery gear + winch.

I’ll be going to long beech. But please let us know how it is, I’ve been wanting to get up Bennett. Went last year about this time.

Badger lake is probably another 2 weeks out. Snow starts a little past the junction with Bonnie Meadows road, and was 2 feet deep in some areas. I had to get pulled out after trying to drive through some snow.
There were quite a few fallen trees on Bennet Pass road. Driving around them made the drive a bit more fun.
