Hah, I was just twiddling my thumbs over here thinking about my fabulous '01 paint. Granted the entire hood and roof several spots along the side have a "custom off-black primer finish" at this point... Go shove your truck through some manzanita and enjoy the freedom of driving without worry

Another thing to note, is that if it does rain, it'll more than likely be too much water and would dilute the acid rendering it inert. Science is a science, one can't be too sloppy.

Also, and just to clarify, this isn't solid evidence, but good luck finding pictures of vehicles with damage from ash and rain mixing after a wildfire. All I find are images of cars with ash still on them telling me to go to a car wash, or buy their stuff, but no images showcasing said damage. But that was just in my searches, and they weren't super deep, though if it were a big deal I'd think I would have come across some..

I did rinse it good after the beach trip Sunday though.

 

im guessing if you drive everyday it should be blowing off your truck while we drive

 

Not saying damage can't happen, just that it's highly unlikely.

If you wanna be cautious, no harm in washing
But I'm not worried about it myself.

 

I did take the yard blower to it this afternoon. But someone else blew their yard out and that is all over the ash , which got wet, so it is a mess.

I heard that if you get up on a ladder and piss on your truck, that it will nuetralize the corrosive nature of the ash/water reaction.

Did ADS change their reservoir mounting bracket? Or is this a Kings bracket, painted black? I like the vertical mounting, vs the horizontal mount.

 

These are the mounts that came with my set up. Not sure if it's the latest or if they still have the horizonal also.

These are a very nice set up. They were on my list before I went with Ironman 4x4. Needed a stepping stone to make sure I knew what I wanted before spending another 3k more than what I did.

 

I should know sometime today what the current ADS remote brackets should be, as my ADS/ICON hybrid kit should be here today.

Damn things got delayed yesterday due to "Emergency Condition" caused by the smoke/air quality in the area. So, they just stayed in Hillsboro and couldn't go the extra 15-20 miles to my door step.

 

The ADS front remote brackets look the same as the ones pictured a few posts back.
