Oh man! You nailed it! I just wanted to get a Tacoma so I could go play and have fun. Then I found out it needed a locker, so I had to get an off road, then the mods began! Pre TW the only mod my 2007 had was tires and wheels(I bought used with them on).
My dad and I would go out in a 2 wheel drive alone and go places these overland/expedition vehicles are afraid to go. Lol.

So next mod is a roof top rack, so I can hold more junk for camping trips.

So it looks like we have 5 or 6 folks interested in going tomorrow. Do we want to get some details nailed down? Browns camp for trails without snow, or a snow run seem to be the options?

I'm willing to lead anywhere in the gifford. But that would end up being a snow run on forest service roads, not much for dedicated trails up there right now. When I go solo I usually stop when the snow gets too deep. Start a little fire, cook some hot dogs, get my daily dose of vitamin R and just enjoy the scenery for a while before heading back down the hill. Whatever you guys want to do is cool with me.

I’m down with whatever. I just need to get out! I’m getting the fuel pump recall done Monday and they don’t want me to bring it in with a full tank.

OK I’ll throw this out there

I wouldn’t mind doing browns camp because I’ve never done it but with my time constraints for the afternoon I would want to meet in North Plains by 8 or 8:30.... I need to try and be back to Portland by 4 o’clock

Had to sell my 17 Tacoma for a tow rig in order to pull my new home. Still here for a bit to keep in touch.
Out hillockburn rd. The network of roads there are great, but the fires have taken a toll I'm sure.

Browns camp it is. I have a trail map, but have only been there with the truck once. Been there on the dirtbike 4 or 5 times. Is there a preferred meeting spot before we head up?

Would my DCLB have any issues there? Like tight spots in turns? etc...

There are some tight spots for longer rigs, I'm a bad judge of that though. Maybe someone with more browns camp experience could answer that one? My regular cab first gen fits anywhere lol. I'm only on 31s and no sliders, so nothing too crazy for me either.
