    Too shiney and new yet
EDC- Fenix PD32. It came with 2) 18650 li-ion cells, uses one cell at a time. It also came with a charger for the cells that will charge from a 12v power point or can be charged via standard outlet. Love this light. Small, 4 light levels, bright when needed, when battery gets low the higher lumen settings are locked out telling you to change batteries. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Any Cyber Monday deals out there? Thinking of the Nitecore P12 or Fenix PD35. Amazon has the P12 for $43.95 for the
    flashlight alone.

I added a Nitecore MT40 to my arsenal of garage lights. That thing really throws when I take the dogs out at night.

Just picked these up on Amazon. Best $10 flashlights I've ever seen. One runs on a AA and one on a AAA. The quality on these far surpasses anything I've ever seen in this price range, particularly the AA light (larger one). Heavy, solid little guys. The brand is de.power. I've never heard of it until I found them. Made in Germany and they have an Osram LED in them. Don't hesitate. The larger one has both high and low power. Both have a button on the end. A soft push pulses on-off. A hard push clicks so it stays on.

Short of the red/IR light. I think that has you covered. And at 1080 lumens you'll put your eye out, kid.

Can I ask why 18650? Must be rechargeable? Because this looks right up your alley: http://www.batteryjunction.com/petzl-e90bhb-opt.html

Damn. Wish I had not found this thread. Bought two lights this week alone. I have a problem. I think I should get all my lights together for a picture

I had a problem too until I discovered Foursevens and it's Mini123. It's no searchlight or lumen blaster but in the past 5 years+ it seems to be the only light I freak out if I can't find when I am going on an expedition. The multi-thousand dollar drawer full of Surefires, Fenixs, OLights and JetBeams seems to sit in the drawer while the Mini keeps burning batteries year in and out. So there is a cure, you just need to find your ideal light!

For me the ultimate light, that is compact and you can take anywhere, is the Nitecore HC30.

The right angle feature is especially nice, as well as the tail stand.

Yep, that's a great one. I have a Zebralight of similar design and with the clip on the zipper of a jacket or a pocket it goes handsfree and doubles as a headlamp.
