I just got this Flippac. Someone must have modified it to fit a dodge Dakota. Anyone have ideas on how I can get the rear window to its original state? Thanks

Look at the angle of the rear wall. I have yet to see another Flippac that has a slight pitch rather than being straight up and down

**** the pencil lines are my idea of cutting the outside window wall out and removing the wedge piece between the two lines.*****
Might be a scary job if I don’t have enough fiberglass up top to adhere to.

Mine's flat vertical also. It looks like a revision of the original, but a good glass job for sure. Good luck, keep us posted...

They made them this way for a few different pickup models, are you sure this was an owner modification?

Do you (experts on Flippac’s) think I should keep looking for a glass guy who can tackle this or modify my tailgate with L-bracket aluminum to fill the void?
    Kind of lost right now!!!
My family and I have already used it and we love it but I also don’t want to ruin the camper either. Whoever did the fiberglass job did an amazing job for sure. My biggest concern is that there won’t be enough real estate at the top to bind the fiberglass together if I where to cut the entire back wall off along the edge and remove the 45 degree wedge of fiberglass (see pencil marks on the first few pics.) there is a lot more going on than just the cut. The wood blocks inside that hold up the hammock would have to be cut too. Re carpeting the inside would be easy but I’d really have to put my trust into a fiberglass guy that new his stuff. This Flippac was on a Dodge Dakota (red) if anyone knows the story on who fabricated it. Thanks

G.T. - not 100% sure but you can feel a slight raise on the fiberglass and color change where it would have been modified.

Some of the early ones - tan tents - did have angled rears, if it came factory with a grey tent then I’d agree with you that someone likely modified it. If you can find the chop line on each side then you will likely be able to piece them back together. Sounds like you’ve got your hands full but in the end it’ll be worth it.

That look is so clean!!! Pinnacle-What is the rail between the camper and the truck bed? Looks custom!! I could probably hide the overlap with the bumper I’ll be making for it shortly.

It’s an older Flippac with a tan tent.

The original yellow Flippac sticker is still in the center above the rear glass and on the sides. Maybe it is original

I thank @G.T. For the look and rail he had installed. I bought it from him last April

Does anyone happen to have an opening handle in good condition lying around? The one I've got is a little worn out and seems to be a little loose because of this so I'd like to find a replacement.

I got back into the flippac club today! I had one on my first gen tundra for about a year and then sold it... today I was browsing craigslist and found a tacoma/flippac package that was an absolute steal! Now my old tundra is for sale and I'm planning a new build for the taco.39442322_2372967779381757_7845194534253232128_n.jpg

Did your first Flippac come with those windows or did you add them? I really want to add some to mine, but I'm not sure where to take it.. I'd also be worried about them leaking.
